"Our school strives for excellence in the martial arts, and the constant learning of knowledge in the art on Budo.  Budo is the expression of one's inner being.  To be limited to a dance or a set movement is not to express yourself freely, but rather a limitation of the artist inside you"

-Anshu Christa Jacobson

We do not have contracts here at the school, you pay as you go month to month.

The only other fees that are going to be added to the training are the cost of the GI (uniform) that that is $30 for each one that you need, and then testing fees if and when you do get promoted in rank and that is $50 per kyu rank that you advance.  Black Belt Ranks are different prices.

We DO NOT teach young kids.  This is not a modern art, we do teach live blades, swords, stealth, shurikenjutsu (throwing blades) we do spar, grapple, nage waza (throwing techniques) and more.  The type of training that we do si very physical and is not suited for young children.  The earlist age that we will accept is 13, we would prefer them to be at least 16 years of age to start the training here at the Budo Ryu.

STEP 1 - Call us and set up a time for a free class, that way you can try a class and see if this kind of training is for you.

We do not accept every student that walks in the door.  So if you have a bad attitude, you do not show proper respect towards the teachers and the fellow students, you will be asked to leave.

STEP 2 - If you are granted permission to stay with the training group you can then start to train in the 7 warrior traditions of the Budo Ryu.

The Budo Ryu prides itself on proper code, loyalty and honor.  If someone comes in and wants to make the class not fun for the rest of the group they will leave.  Only those with good manners, proper respect towards others and a good heart will be granted permission to stay with the training group.
