ANSHU CHRISTA JACOBSON
"Headmistress of the Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo"

Anshu Christa Jacobson; Headmistress of the Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo, is one of the most sought after instructors in the traditional and eclectic martial traditions.  Her many years of training in several martial arts has awarded her the ranks of Shodan or higher in many different Martial Arts including the only non-Japanese to receive Menkyo Kaiden (The highest level license that exist in Japanese martial arts) and named successor / inheritor of the Tomo Ryu tradition of Shinobijutsu from Master Ichiro Kobayashi honored by Master Nakashima.

In 2004 Anshu Christa Jacobson wanted to bring back the tradition of Japanese Bujutsu, something that she felt has been lost in the modern world.  To do this she established the Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo, meaning Lineage of Japanese Warriors Path.  After receiving Menkyo Kaiden in Tomo Ryu Shinobijutsu from Master Ichiro Kobayashi and full permission from other Masters that she had trained with; her vision of martial practice, The Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo was established.

The Budo Ryu Ninjutsu system of martial training was developed by the collection of 7 Japanese Traditions and combining them into a way of training to fully develop one’s mind, body and spirit as one.  Each of the traditions taught in the Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo has its own specialty in a certain aspect of warfare and combat tactics.  The 7 Traditions of the Budo Ryu Ninjutsu Dojo are Tomo Ryu Shinobijutsu, Tenjin Ryu Jujutsu, Eishin Ryu Iaijutsu, Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu, Koto Ryu Koppojutsu, Gyokko Ryu Kosshijutsu and Koka Ryu Dakentaijutsu.

Aside from technical excellence, she is also an expert in martial arts history, tradition and lineage and has help in various areas of study for the Ninjutsu Historical Society.  She has founded the Ninjutsu International Federation and is editor and chief of the Shinobi no Mono Magazine; the only magazine distributed worldwide that is dedicated to the art of ninjutsu.

Through all of her years of martial training she has amassed many awards and recognitions that is unmatched by most and yet still remains a down to earth person that is easily approachable.  Her love for the art of ninjutsu and her constant mission to share this beautiful martial art is an inspiration to all.
